making jewelry the old way

I started making Silver Jewelry 25 years ago while I lived in West Seattle. I tried to paint and though I can draw well I could not get the painting down. I still paint but do it on the computer it works better for me. I also write Poetry from time to time. When I picked up metal though I found my drawings came to life. I did not want to do what everyone else does so I sold the house and gave away just about everything I owned and moved the family out into the Olympic Mountains of Washington State. Had cabins with electricity for the kids but I wanted to get back to nature in the real way. So we built a tipi and I got a bow and made some spears then got a sea cannoe and started liveing as close to the old way as one can in this new age we live in. The best part though was I truly learned how to form metal in the old ways. Using no electricity I made silver earrings, rings, pins, animal statues and many other things. Now I am living in Nashville area but still making my jewelry by hand. I want to get back to making statues and clocks as soon as I find time also. This ring has a Craked Quenched Dyed Quartz stone. It looks like a real Emerald even jewelers have a hard time telling the difference. I had to take it to a gemologyst to find out what it really was. I can make the ring any size you want. This 4 Leaf Clover ring is a hot Seller Looks good for a man or a women. All fabricated from 18 gauge Sterling Silver Sheet hand formed and cut. Comes with a 6mm stone.
